Dear COVID-19,
This might sting but I hate you.
If I can describe my goal for 2020 in one word, it would be hustle. I was ready to make a marathon-like sprint to my goals but these few months, I've been crouching at the starting line, waiting for the starter pistol to be fired.
I never knew how tiring it actually is to do nothing for weeks.
I never knew how desperate one can get when there is $0 income for months.
I never knew how scary it is to figure life out in a confined space without friends, beer and some self-deprecating humour.
I guess sometimes, you need everything to be taken away from you, to know what you don’t know. For that, thank you.
Phase 2 now has become my second chance
I’m working like it’s my last gig.
I’m open to learning new things and making mistakes – technology, YouTube, cameras.
I’m fulfilling all the unaccomplished promises I’ve made to myself – Vlogging, creating organic content that screams Xenia and learning production through online courses.
My goals are still waiting for me at the finish line and I don’t have to be Usain Bolt this time. I’m taking it at my own pace.
